Translators/Proofreaders

We are looking for translators and proofreaders for all languages to join our freelance family. Projects are currently available for bright, skilled individuals with exceptional attention to detail.

Qualifications include:

• Degree or extensive experience in translation.
  
• Experience or willingness to work with CAT (Computer Aided Translation)
  
• Translators and Proofreaders must be able to handle quick turnaround in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  
• Strong knowledge of one or more of the following areas: Home Improvement, Construction, Hardware, Human Resources, Legal and Technology.
  
• Knowledge of HTML helpful but not necessary.

• Manage projects from beginning to end including budget, negotiating with freelance translators and proofreaders, ensure deadlines are met or exceeded and signing off on completed project.
  
• Review job specification to make sure product meet client needs.
  
• Proofread final product and at various stages of process to ensure quality and accuracy.
  
• Prepare and complete client-billing files to open and close projects and invoice client.
  
• Implement current, and create new, quality assurance measures.
  Qualifications include:
  
• Superior written and spoken communication skills.
  
• Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken).
  
• Bachelors of Arts or its equivalent.
  
• The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  
• Strong computer skills and the desire to learn more.
  
• Most importantly you must be willing to learn new things, be open to challenges and thrive on success.

Localization Project Manager — Malaysia

• Identifying and preparing the localization specifications, defining scope of localization work, creating and defining the localization schedule, and delivering relevant localization information to the internal language production team..
  
• Function as the interface between the client and the production team making sure needed tools and resources are in place before commencement of a project. Provide necessary information to assure quality of the localized product
  
• Educate clients about the localization process & manage client expectations. Function as the lead in Project Architecture during quoting stage

• 2+ years of project management experience.
  
• Superior written and spoken communication skills.
  
• Bachelors Degree or higher.
  
• Experience with:
  
• Translation memory tools
  
• Localization of Software based on RC files
  
• Developing test plans for localization, and supporting localization testing.
  
• Localization of Online Help systems using Robohelp/ForeHelp
  
• 2+ years working in a high tech environment, ideally in a localization related field.
  
• Knowledge of the Internet and related technologies. (Web formats: HTML, ASP, XML)
  
• Most importantly you must be willing to learn new things, be open to challenges and thrive on success
