Management System
The Meridium Document Management System (DMS) is a hierarchically
categorised directory of version-controlled file groups.
These comprise five types of object, which can be categorised
and sub-categorised to any level, to maximise flexibility
and control over which files a content manager has available
to them.
Once files have been stored in the DMS, you simply
use the content editing tools to add files or images
into the site. It is also possible to add display behaviors
to Files in the Library giving content editors a large
toolset to use without needing to be an experienced
web designer.
A File in the Library consists of two parts. The first
is a File object, which in turn contains one or more
File children (instances). In this way the File Library
can contain different versions of a file, or multiple
resolutions of an image, or a document in different
formats for example.
All Files are named with standard naming conventions
and can be categorized and searched for.Objects in the
File Library can be linked to and included in Containers
in various sections of the site.
